Wilson Everard launches new GT.

Ford Performance Vehicles tasked Wilson Everard to launch their new Boss 335 GT –Australia’s first ever factory supercharged V8!

‘We didn’t have the luxury of TV’ said Joint CD, Justin Groves, ‘so we made sure wherever it appeared in press and magazines, we showed a different view of the vehicle and the copy for each ad was tailored to the model and the environment it appeared in. In all we produced over 70 different press and magazine ads for the three GT models.’

The cars themselves are very similar to the previous models and while the new engine transforms the performance, FPV cleverly modified the ‘hockey-stick’ stripes from the ’69 Boss Mustang to differentiate the new GT’s.

‘They transform the car’ said CD Jeremy Wynne. ‘We were also lucky that Allan Moffat came on board as an FPV ambassador this year and we could use him as the ultimate endorsement of the new model. He is a legend along with the GT –we really couldn’t have started with better tools!’

Behind the scenes taking long trips to specialist printer Adams Print in Geelong, Production Manager Maria Cannistra brooded over the FPV all-vehicle brochure.

For FPV this was a first –the entire range under one cover and boy did it have to be good!

‘We wanted a printer who would be our partner in wanting to push print boundaries and Director Shane Soutar stepped up to the plate. As a result we used Refletakote on the outer cover –this is a high-chrome, mirror film lamination that is applied to the stock prior to printing. Opaque white is then printed on certain areas of the image and type and then a four colour process printed over the top with a gloss laminate then applied. The result is a standout brochure for a stand out client,’ says Maria.

And the result so far? Call your local FPV Dealer and see what time next year you can get the Boss 335 GT of your choice. (It’ll be worth the wait!)
